Recently I have been averaging about 170 user submitted links per day on MyDentify.com. Of course some are rejected due to spam, but overall they are quality links. There is a growing need of refined categories, so it was only natural for me to start segmenting and nesting out a little more. Total category count, 171. The Fun and games category within the Entertainment section is getting more and more popular. Its time to segment it out. I have added four new sub categories within “Fun and Games”.
The new MyDentify categories are:

I recently segmented out the Heath section into Men’s and Women’s health. This has been successful tus far with sub categories under each quickly filling up. Now all the Viagra links can be in one place!
Aside from Entertainment additions, I have also added these:
Free Dating Services – Added to the Dating and Friends Category, under Business and Internet Services.
Christian Dating – Added to the Dating and Friends Category, under Business and Internet Services.
Realtor’s – Added to the Real Estate, under Business and Internet Services.

MyDentify is expanding, I plan to add more categories this week. But if I missed anything in the meantime just let me know and I’ll gladly add it. Be on the lookout for another directory sprouting up, more targeted and very niche.
Well I have changed my blog layout and I finally like the look. It is sort of “Facebookesk” (old facebook!) and Its simple. I am continuing to customize it more and more to build it out as much as possible to include all my networks and social 2.0 sites. Its clean and to the point. This way I can focus on content and leave the fluff out.
I have been highly motivated recently with my web projects as my Google AdSense has been strong this month. It is pushing me to work harder and harder. Once I get my content built up as much as possible, I will be focusing on link building to get stronger back links throughout my website.
Recently One of my goals is to get the rest of my “dormant” sites up and running to ther full potential by September 09. Right now my priorities are American Eskimo Zone, MyDentify, and ItsMyItaly. Outside of those web properties I will be focusing on my other 9 “in progress” websites. It’s a lot of work but I am up for it.
Coming from a strong design background, I am very particular with how things look on the web. Functionality always comes first, but the way it looks in the end is also very important. That is why it takes a while for my sites to come to life.

Another one of my “in-progress” projects is my AdSense eBook for beginners. It goes from start to finish on how to set up AdSense on your website, and start to bring in some extra cash.This is a real time consuming project and hope to have it complete by April 2009. It will be available to download directly from my website, for a price still yet to be determined. But it will be under $10.00, (hint, probably $9.99). It is focused for beginners, but definitely can be useful to anyone at any level.
Some highlights are: Full vocabulary list and dictionary, Heatmap of most common click areas on websites, working with channels and blending, best ad placements on websites, blogs, forums and more. One of the most comprehensive sections of the eBook will be the 100 most popular questions asked by AdSense users.
If you have a link on MyDentify (My Business Directory) you will get a discount on the eBook sale. I’ll definitely keep you updated on my projects. My eBook has made progress, It just needs a little more work.
Since starting with AdSense in 2007, I have learned quite a bit about optimization, placements, what to do and what not to do. This is my 4th check from them, each one bigger than the last. I have had a goal for a while now to make $100.00 a month and I just achieved that goal in September. The reason my check was released at $586.00, was because there is an option in AdSense to hold the checks back until you would like to release them.
My next check I hope to make $110.00 for the month of October, and have it released at $800.00. This month is good so far, I have had 2 days over $5.00 coming from MyDentify.com, which is good as the typical day average is $2.00.
MyDentify (My Business Directory) Is by far my most consistent AdSense performer. It currently has over 12,000 user submitted links, hundreds of link sales, increasing web traffic, and is expanding every day.
I’m trying to come up with some new ideas on how to improve it right now, I sense a “Holiday Promotion” coming up in the near future. Be on the lookout around Thanksgiving and Christmas for some free links into the directory.
What did I do with my $586.00 from my Google AdSense Check? I added it to my website budget. All money I make with my websites, goes right back into them. Making them stronger. I purchased a game website a few months back, but it may not have been the best choice for an AdSense site, as that niche is low paying in clicks. ho knows, I might buy something else soon to make up for it.
AmericanEskimoZone is my next promising website for Google AdSense. I have roughly 20 unique articles written, and as we know Google loves that. I hope to get 20 more by the end of October. The clicks I have received on the ads thus far have been decent. And by decent I mean over $0.70.

Well it has been some time since I have made an update on some of my web projects, so what a better time than now. My current main web content project is AmericanEskimoZone. filled with eskie resources, tips, photos and more. I have gotten quite a few original articles written so far and have just completed two scripted tools.
The first tool is an American Eskimo Fact Generator. It was coded in PHP and roughly took about 2 hours dev time and 2 hours design time so I am quite happy with it. What it does is, it randomly presents the viewer with 1 fact, the average person may not know about the American Eskimo breed. Once the dog bone is clicked, it generates another random fact. Its kind of cool and adds a little dynamic feature for the user to play with.
The second tool is a Pet Name Generator. sort of following the lines of the random fact generator, this one generates a random dog name for pet owners having troble finding the perfect name for their pet. The list in its later version will be sortable or “filtered” to target a certain gender, or type of name.
Outside of the tools, my next focus is the Dog Shelters Across America section. Each section will include a Google Map of dog shelters for a state chosen from a dropdown menu. This will take some time, but will be an intrigal part of the website. On each state, there will be official static links to animal shelters, organizations and more.
Im hoping to get 20 more articles written by the end of October, which is definitely possible, along with interlinking and a unified header as the older template I was woring on has some missing elements.
One last newest addition, is the flash banner I have promoting the online store, which is not currently open yet. I wrote a script that will randomy display a banner unit and I can control frequency and link destination quite easily. PHP is so fun.
Thats about it for now, Im happy with the progress but wish I could get much more done much quicker. I will be updating my other web projects throughout October, Ill keep you posted. Please let me know your thoughts, Im always welcome to feedback and suggestions.
