Now a days everyone and their sister has a Twitter account. People like you, people like me. But did you know Borat has one? Or how about Darth Vader, the Mars Lander? This comprehensive list is a collection of Twitter Profiles You Should Be Following. Just a warning. I have no official confirmation that the profiles listed below, are actually who they claim to be. There may be some impersonators out there, but it’s still fun none the less. I even categorized them. Enjoy and add your favorite profile addition in the comments below. I want this list to grow.
Just a note: Some of the users below make many updates a day, even an hour, so just a warning that following these users may flood you with updates!

Nice list man…its seems you’ve spent a lot of time on it. Be careful of who you follow, many of these people are “power tweeters” and will update like crazy. If you follow more than one you can end up with an overload of info and you’ll never make sense of it.

SFQuake is one of the coolest in my opinion, they haven’t updated recently, but that may be a good thing! They update when earth quakes hit San Fransisco. I will be adding more to the list over the weekend, so keep an eye out!

Comprehensive list. I was taken aback on seeing Obama’s profile there. Is he really maintaining the profile or some proxy?

@Yuva, most likely it is a proxy or someone on his staff. I’m not 100% sure, maybe someone on his communications branch. Good point though.

Most of the profiles follow you back, but now a days you can’t tell if it is the actual user following you back, or a third party service automatically adding you if you follow them. But in most instances, If i DM them or mention them, they respond.

There are great news from Google and Tweeter, actually some of the posts of micro-blogging platform get cached by Google, which is great for SEO. Twitter is amazing platform for driving traffic to your website, of course it depends on the niche, but imagine if your tweets get indexed by Google, wow!
